Bringing Daylight to a Windowless Room with Ketra

Basements often feel closed off from the world. With no windows, the space lacks the warmth of natural light. That changed with Ketra lighting. Far from ordinary dimmers, Ketra fixtures in the ceiling recreate daylight indoors, adjusting color temperature to follow the sun’s path, even 10 feet underground.

Linear LED strips visually connect the theater, bar, and game areas to create a cohesive, dynamic space that’s visually appealing and functional.

It’s a Theater That Disappears Until You Need It

Subtlety is an art form. This home theater leads with sophistication instead of in-your-face flashiness. A Sony 4K projector hides discreetly in a ventilated soffit, staying out of sight until showtime. A 130-inch Stewart Cinemascope screen uses every pixel for immersive widescreen viewing. Many screens are 16x9 ratio, but that leaves black bars on the top and sides of the picture. That’s not the case with this home theater, thanks to a motorized lens on the projector that you can adjust using a touchpanel display. No black bars, no compromise.

Integrated KEF in-wall and in-ceiling speakers were custom-painted to match the space, and JL Audio subwoofers were built directly into the walls. Perforated screens let crystal-clear dialogue pass through. Acoustic Innovations’ custom sound treatments complete the experience, while motorized seating with adjustable headrests delivers comfort worthy of a premier cinema.

The technology fades beautifully into the background until it’s time to enjoy it.

Josh Voice Control That Just Makes Sense

Forget outdated remotes. Brian’s theater responds to natural, conversational commands through Josh.ai. A discreet Nano microphone listens without intruding. 

Whether it’s “Hey Josh, let’s watch Wicked” to start a movie or “Hey Josh, happy holidays” to set a festive scene, voice control orchestrates the entire space with ease. Josh even answered Masters Tournament trivia on demand while running the entertainment system.
